![]() If anyone has any questions I would be happy to try to provide a detailed answer for you. I paid around $750 from Bestbuy for this monitor. I want to say it was worth it, but it is the most expensive monitor I have bought. I sit right next to a window and the brightest it gets is it sorta washes out colors but it does not really glare on my screen? The screens anti glare coat also handles reflections way better than any other monitor I have used. Its not a ton better than 144hz but better is better right? I can read text while it is moving easier than ever and yeah, 240hz is dope. However the black levels and color are gorgeous. Maybe it is the inner photographer in me but the first two or three days of having this monitor I could not get over the loss of 10 or 12 pixels per inch, like it stood out to me. No dead pixels, no noticeable leaking or black light bleed, but I will say I noticed the reduction in pixels per inch compared to my 27inch 1440 monitor. There is a little more distortion in the corners but if you sit with your head elevation so your eyes are level with the center of the monitor then this is truely minimal. It brings details on the outside edges which I would not notice in so I can see it better and it requires less head motion to look around the screen to see everything. :) I can say I now enjoy this for work and play. I have been working 60 hour work weeks to pay for this thing so not sure if I liked working being more immersive but I will call it a good thing. The curve makes video games and work feel more immersive. It brings the 32 inch monitor size to feel more like, I dunno 29 to 30 inches? the curve at its deepest point goes in maybe an inch and a third from the outside edges. The curve was at first exciting, then scary now back to exciting again. I used to be a photographer actually but I like my colors slightly exaggerated, so go figure. That is what looks good to me, no idea if it is photo accurate. The Faker Edition for example has a different firmware series and will. I went with 56 brightness, 56 sharpness, 13 black level thingy and 85 contrast. Shop online and read reviews for Samsung Odyssey G7 32 QHD QLED 240Hz Curved. Now its just a simple tap of the nipple controller to the left and select input and I can switch sources. Buying an additional display port cable fixed this for me. There were a couple of issues with this monitor, firstly it takes a significant time to power on, maybe 5-6 seconds and then longer if you unplug the video cord from one computer and plug it into another one, maybe sometimes up to 20 seconds to find the video signal. ![]() It is built like a tank and won't wiggle unless I want it to. I am used to Ergotron monitor arms but for now I have decided in a 32 inch form factor, at least for now it works good. I did sort of throw away some un-needed plastic bits that while they looked cool were totally not needed. things were in nice cloth bags and everything had its space - Overall it felt much nicer than other even up to $500 monitors I have unboxed in the past. The unboxing experience felt very premium. ![]() I bought this Monitor about 3 weeks ago and have used it for 2 weeks. So I bought the "Faker" edition of the Odyssey G7, the G77 which fakes being a G7 by being the same thing with a red UI otherwise everything else is the same. ![]()
